Combat Sports Authority of Maine Mission Statement
The Combat Sports Authority of Maine (CSAM) was established by the Legislature in June 2009 (H.P. 751, L.D. 1089) to ensure that all Mixed Martial Arts and Professional Boxing exhibitions, events,
performances and contests are subject to an effective, safe and efficient system of strict control and regulation.
The Board's main purpose is to protect the safety and well being of all participants and promote the public confidence and trust in the regulatory process and conduct of Combat Sports in
Maine.
